Exercise during my period

Some of us only want chocolate, food, sleep and a good tear jerker movie during that time of the month. You all know what I'm talking about. The red tide, the visitor, PMS all of the above. The last thing on our mind are diet plans and work outs. The bottom line is that when my visitor comes, I feel like putting my head under my blanket and devouring an entire box of chocolates. Then when I come out from under the blanket I want to bite everyone's head off! Don't touch me, hold me, leave me, I hate you, I love you. It's one big one roller coaster of emotions.
For the new year I decided to handle things differently to tame my emotions and control my PMS. Now when my visitor comes, I try to eat healthy and so my exercise. It actually worked.
1 week prior to my period
1. load up on fruits and veggies.
2. eat lots of fiber and drink tons of water.
3. Take Primrose supplement
4. Take some St. Johns Warts
5. Take salt out of my diet.
Week of my period
1. load up on Vitamin D with Calcium and Magnesium
2. Take a B vitamin complex
3. Take a 30 minute afternoon nap
4. Intense stretching in the morning and evening.
5. Pamper myself.
These 10 steps will boost your energy, enhance your mood, and practically rid your PMS. The specific vitamins above help boost energy and improve mood. Stretching during your period is best because it is when your joints are the looses. Stretching also relaxes you. Avoid salt because it will only make bloating worse. Please don't forget to pamper yourself. Take nice showers, shave, paint your nails, get a pedicure, get a massage. Do whatever it takes to make you feel beautiful.
